PARENTAL ENGAGEMENT AT MARION RICHARDSON

We offer a full programme of course and activities for parents and carers.

We are very fortunate to have the use of two meeting rooms -The parents’ hut at the Senrab Street Site and the training room at the EYFS site.

Courses are delivered at both sites-these could include parenting courses, healthy living workshops, curriculum support, a course on family finance and regular coffee mornings.

We have a Community Cohesion Coordinator -Alison Jones who coordinates the parenting courses, the volunteer training and the schools’ involvement in the wider community.  Alison is a trained counsellor and is available to offer support to families who are facing challenges in their lives.

Rumana Begum is our parental support worker and co -ordinates the healthy living workshops, the early words programme and weekly coffee mornings. Rumana is available to help parents complete forms, support in meetings and can offer individual support.
